Bob was a great big brother. He always supported and encouraged me. In Tacoma, he took me for rides in his soapbox car. Watching him compete in his high school swim matches, inspired me to excel in swimming. When he was away, he wrote me great letters. After his summer working in Ketchikan, fishing, he let me use his photos for a school report. By example, he led me to study hard and to attend college. I carried his navy photo in my wallet to show off my handsome brother to my friends. He was a “people” person, who cared about others. He related well and was a natural leader. I am thankful that his faith kept him strong at the end.
